Round 2, FIGHT!

So I'm back on the blog with a few things of my own that seem to bother me on a day-to-day basis. I thought I would add on to Andrea's people complaints after reading HER BLOG. Once again I will state that I work at Lifetime Fitness gym in the Cafe area. My daily activities include preparing food/drinks, cleaning, and just being an overall congenial person, but as the day roles on that gets a lot harder to be.

Etiquette 101 (Pt. 2)

One thing that bothers me is the fact that people don't know the difference between a shake and a smoothie. I don't know if I'm just being picky here but it doesn't seem like to grand of a concept to grasp. A shake has milk and a smoothie is made with some sort of fruit juice (in our case orange). 100 times a day I will have people look at our menu and order a "peanut butter and banana SMOOTHIE", so I have to ask them if it is orange juice they want because clearly orange juice and peanut butter aren't really a popular mixture; of course 99.9% say it's milk they want. So I think to myself, how many times in your life have you asked someone for a milk smoothie or a juice shake...EXACTLY. Besides their ignorance of drink ordering, I have a huge amount of people who don't know how to push in their chairs. Excuse me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that is something you learn when you are a child. You pull the chair out to use it and push it in when your done. I literally spend 30 minutes a day just pushing in chairs (if you were to calculate the amount of times I make the rounds and push them in). One funny thing to add to that is sometimes when I'm pushing them in I kind of think to myself sometimes how these chairs got out so far. It's like the stood up and literally pushed it back and left. AND for my last complaint regarding my job is that I can't stand when people come in with 5 minutes 'til closing and decide it's a good idea to order a pizza, and more then that they will bring in their whole family and make it a date. WTF!? I never go somewhere to eat knowing it's 30 minutes or less before they close because I know 1. They are trying to get things done so they can leave and 2. They are NOT going to be happy when you come order that food when they are getting ready to leave. The movie 'Waiting' is a prime example. I'm guessing it's because I've worked around food for so long that I know the do's and dont's of the food industry. *SIGH* some people will just never learn. :)
Now on the lighter side of things, if you know me then you know that I'm not much of a reader...of books. If you calculated how many articles I read a day that has to combine into some sort of chapter in a book :) I read NBA, NFL, College FB and College BB articles all on ESPN's website. I also read video game articles on N4G.com and XBA. When I say I read articles, I mean I really read them and bunch of them at that; all the way down to the comments. I love to read the comments just because people sometimes but the funniest stuff on there. Sooooo anyways, I was perusing on the Yahoo! front page and I sometimes click the article if it has a title that strikes my eye. The link said something like '2 men save falling baby' or along those lines at least, so of course I click the link and read the story. The actual link is HERE. After reading I continued down to the comments and most of the people were just saying that these two guys were saints, they were at the right place at the right time or the family needed to be put in jail, but oh no no not this one guy and I quote, "Puh-lease...who hasn't caught a falling baby!". I thought that was the funniest thing. I literally lol'd because of the fact the guy made light of a semi-tragic story and what made it even better was the fact that it was just put in the middle of all the other posts and nobody really commented on what the guy said, so it was just a gem waiting to be read.

On other news the new FLO RIDA CD just came out 2 days ago and I will have to say that it definitely has some good jams on it just like his last. I don't think it will sell as many copies as his last but it's surely not going to be put in the category of Sophomore Slump. My 3 favorite songs on the album are 1. Right Round 2. R.O.O.T.S and 3. Mind on My Money. The next album I'm excited about is Lil' Wayne's REBIRTH album coming out later this month. Another thing you would know if you knew me was that I love Rap music, among other genres. I don't know my real dad, but I'm thinking that my dad was either black or had some black in him because I have too much rhythm, like their style, and listen to wayyy too much rap music not to. Haha.
I've admittedly recently watched all 5 of the Harry Potter movies after I told myself I wouldn't just because everyone was hopping on the Potter book franchise. I will say that the movies weren't bad and I'm sure the books were more fun to read, but they are a tad on the kiddy side for me. I see where people enjoy them because the story is quite good but not 100% my cup of tea. I will most likely see the new one that comes out but I won't camp outside for 2 days to get tickets that's for DAMN sure. One movie I will stick to my guns about not watching is 'Twilight' *PUKE*. Other than that I'm about to leave for work and when I get back I will have a LOST episode to catch up. No Grey's Anatomy this week. Thanks for reading :) Comment!

In the beginning...

I feel like the first episode of 'Lost' right now in that this is a fresh start to something new and I don't really know what's about to go down. I don't know if this is just going to be something I do for a few months and realize that it's not for me or if this is something that I continue to do for a while.
For those who don't know me and might happen to read this, I will do a short bio to basically catch any and everyone up to my current situation. I was born in Corpus Christi and moved to the Hill Country of Texas when I was 7. It was there that I grew to be the person I am now. I grew to love my wonderful family, had some of the BEST experiences I've ever had in high school there, and lastly I made some of the coolest, funnest, most entertaining friends in the world (to say the least). After graduation I moved to the great city of San Antonio where I attend the University of Texas @ San Antonio (GET ROWDY!). I love San Antonio for the fact that it's multi-functional. It has great mexican food resturaunts, wonderful downtown festivities, and just a mixture of many cultures; it has a real small town feel to it which I like.
I love media, ALL kinds of it. I have such a broad taste in music, a real passion for movies, and I just can't get enough video games so I will spend a lot of time on here just giving my thoughts on any of those 3 things as well sharing any interesting stories that might come up on my day-to-day activities. Now that I have all the basics out I guess I will start with a real posting.
So I was getting off work the other day (I work at Lifetime Fitness) and as I walked out the door I see a Bentley driving towards me. This isn't too too weird because I work at one the pricier gyms on the wealthier side of town, but the thing that blew my mind was the lady that was driving it. She is one of our usual customers that comes into the gym basically everyday and she is really really nice and I just thought it was awesome that someone with that kind of money was that nice. So the next day she comes in and (like always) I was joking with her and told her I saw her driving that Bentley and asked who she stole it from. She just said, "Oh that's just one of our 14 cars". My mouth dropped because that ONE car was worth than anything I've ever owned in my life combined x5. I continued to ask her about her other cars and told her that she needed to invite us (me and my other co-workers) over for dinner sometime and she told us that she would when they got done building their new house. A multi-million dollar house with a 16 car garage, no biggie right? Now I'm all excited to go to her house and just feel the what it's like to be rich, like Rick James rich. But anywho that was just a fun story from my last week at work.
Now being the movie lover I am, it really sucks that I'm always busy with something that takes my time away from being about to go to the theatre. Here's a little list of some movies I still want to see: 'Taken', 'Watchmen', 'I Love You, Man', 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', 'Friday the 13th', and 'Valkyrie'. Most the time I just download the movies when they get close to release on DVD (thank God for torrents), so I end up seeing them a little later. I also download ones that I haven't seen before and other people tell me are good, like I'm still in the process of watching the 'Band of Brothers' episodes which I download in Blu-Ray and I recently saw 'Roadhouse' which was one kick as flick. On top of that I got a couple of movies for my collection that I liked (Role Models and Quantum of Solace). If you have any suggestion for new or old movies then send them my way and if I haven't seen them then I will be sure to do it. Ohh and I almost forgot but the movie I've been waiting on for some time now is X-Men Origins: Wolverine because 1. Wolverine is a BAMF and 2. It was Gambit which is by far my favorite comic book hero. Check the vid.

Videos games, like I mentioned before, is another love of mine. I'm really into First-Person Shooters, Adventure/Thrillers, Sports, and music games. I've been really hooked on Call of Duty: World and War as of late. I'm uber competitive, especially when it comes to Xbox Live game play. I play to win and that's one of the best and worst things about me. I'm about to get Guitar Hero: Metallica. YEEEEEAH! Check out that link and make sure to watch in HD. I'm not some huge metal head but Metallica is one of the best rock bands of all time so yeah there you go. Another game I'm excited for is Ninja Blade which is going to be a ninja version of God of War. I played the demo and it is tizzight. Another link for those who care. If you wanna play with me the add my gamertag on XBL is o C UN1T o
I guess this is going to be it for my first post. I will be back on here again when I have more to talk about. Comment and toooodles. :)
